This Sunday is the annual championship game of the NFL: the Super Bowl! Many consider Super Bowl a de facto American national holiday, hence the term “Super Bowl Sunday.” Several times, the game has even been the highest watched American television broadcast of the year. Last year an estimated 108.7 million viewers tuned in to the big game. So what does that mean for sellers who are planning to have open houses on this day?
Its probably not such a good idea.
Although the game is during the evening, many people across the country will be spending the day preparing for the game. Whether its throwing a Super Bowl party or attending a viewing at a local spot, its generally the only thing on a lot of America’s mind. Attending an open house: not so much. My advice is to either schedule an open house on Saturday or just wait for the following weekend.
