Strong Real Estate Market in January 2014!

We all know that the real estate market tends to slow down a bit during the holidays. Buyers are out doing their last minute shopping and just getting ready to enjoy some time with the family. There is definitely activity during this period but most people hold back on placing their homes on the market. This year really took off the week of January 13th. Two of my Coral Gables listings went under contract this week!

In addition to these came along 6 new listings and 2 new purchase and sale contracts! One of these purchase and sales contracts were under negotiations during the Christmas week and picked up again this week 

Both seller and buyer went out of town stalling the deal until last week. Most sellers were just waiting for the new year to place their homes on the market. The phones haven’t stopped with buyer calls and new sellers wanting to place their homes for sale.to conclude a deal.
